National Road Race

The Australian National Road Races have been held this weekend. Yesterday was the womens race and was dominated by Queenslanders. Carla Ryan who now rides for a pro team in Europe won the road race aswell as the time trial which was earlier in the week.

Today, Michael England lined up against a very classy field for the mens 160k road race. With only 45 riders completing the race, Mick finished 31st in the field. A fantastic effort given the quality of riders. Well done Mick.

The course for the Nationals is featured in this months Bicycling Australia mag. In a nutshell, its a 10k circuit - a 3k climb and a 7k descent. Sound easy??? Its worth a read.
