Saturday Report

Saturday saw six riders complete the 5am round the block course. It was a cool start and riders had their winter outfits on in an attempt to brave the cold air.

The pace was (bunter) firm yet comfortable on the way out to the historical village. Five attempted the hill circuit and were rewarded with beautiful views of the mist lined trees below.
Sumo bonked on the way to the crossroads but was revived at the service station with copious amounts of sugar.

The group passed Special K heading to Calliope on the return leg and were all together leading up to the finishing straight. Pyney and Popey attempted leads out but the group was unaware of their intent and missed the opportunity. In the end Bloomers won the kick from Sumo and Scottie after a dispute regarding the finishing line was resolved.

Thanx to the Secret Scotsman for this report.
