Colony BMX Follow the Lines Tour

Yesterday part of the Colony BMX Team came through the shop with the Follow the Lines Tour. On tour were riders, Clint Miller, Cooper Brownlee, Brandon Van Dulken, Tom Stretton, Mick Bayzand, Chris Courtenay, Jourdan Barba, Zac Miner and Jack Kelly.

About 10:15am we saw our first lot of locals line up for the 11am arrival of the Colony Team. By the time the Team arrived at 11am there was nearly 50 kids crammed into the store eager to meet there idols. The team ran a old school bunny hop comp out the front on the footpath too see who could hop the most bikes.

Shortly after the team and kids headed for the PCYC park where the kids mixed it up amongst the pros for the best session the Gladstone park has seen in a very long time; some big tricks were thrown down. The team then headed off to check out some popular street spots with some of the locals before they heading to Rockhampton for day 3 of the "Follow the lines tour".

The Big Wednesday

Coming to M1 Cycles, Gladstone, first thing this Wednesday morning, 26th June.

The Follow the Lines Tour will be in Gladstone this week. The tour is about making videos and hanging out with a lot of new riders along the way. Best of all it's school holidays so come and say g'day. Make sure you come out to see us at M1 Cycles and local park for plenty of giveaways!
A good chunk of the team will be on various parts of the trip and we even have Brandon Van Dulken (Canada) and Jourdan Barba (USA) coming out for it! Both of which have never been here before, so that will be a treat for them & us !!

This Sunday Trail Maintenance

If you're free this Sunday arvo, a few of us will be heading to the dirt tracks near the BMX track and the Rock Stairs to do a bit of long grass maintenance around 2pm.  Meet at Choice Petroleum on Sunvalley Roundabout.

This section is pretty overgrown at the moment as Kaz and I found out - it's a great linking track between Sunshine's and Tom's to keep you off the bitumen and away from the traffic.

BYO gear.....

Not for the faint hearted !!!

Jordy showed me this video of a gnarly bmx crash, which is pure madnes,s and a must watch! This is a good example why you should never leave home without a helmet. Watch Alex Liiv jump this super crazy gap over 24 stairs in Sydney, Australia. I think he's lucky too tell the tale. Comment your opinion
