Race Wrap Up - 11th April

This week was the first handicap of the year for Rocky Racing. 50k out and back along Ridgeland's road. Johann, Thunder, Woody, Lord Garmin and myself made the trip up. Handicaps make for hard racing on their own, but when they're mixed with flat roads and nasty cross winds, you know you're in for a tough tough day at the office.

We'll start from the beginning. Being a skirt, I was off 5mins with only one other rider. Yep. I knew I was in for a good day. Lord Garmin was at 9mins, Woody further back around 12 mins with Johann and Thunder on Chopping Block. That's what you get for being big guns boys.

By the turn around mark, the race had formed into 4 major swarms of riders. All desparately seeking to catch the bunch in front. In the end, Chopping block and Scratiches were within 200m of the bunch. Unfortunately, no M1 riders placed in the money, but all were pleased with their race. Johann pulled some major turns both on the way out and back. Definately gaining some major respect.

Full race details will be available on the Rocky website.
