The 30th Cunningham Classic
Preliminary results have been found from yesterday's Cunningham Classic road race and can be found here.
Seems there was some success with SpyCat leading the ladies field in and Ada getting on the podium. Not sure about LG and IJ, maybe their wheel bearings froze in the negative temperatures, maybe they couldn't leave the warm doonah?? Rumour has it that some even skipped the Cunningham all together and did the M1 bunchie so they could get a hard ride instead. A report can be found here. Apparently there were breaks made from 10km and on the KOM and crashes, it was cold and the wind wasn't too kind. That IS the Cunningham Classic. Stay tuned for any more info, if we get any.

The Tuesday Cold Fest
Despite the coolish weather and the change in starting locations, there was a good turn out for this mornings ride. And I'm pleased to say that it was DEFINATELY a lot safer. A few new faces turned up - Anita (Mrs Snapper) and Luke (aka Frosty the Snowman).
Somehow Anita must have gotten lost when the bunch turned to go up Auckland Hill.... next week Nita you must stay with us for a little longer!! Luke did well for his first bunch ride, I don't think its going to take him long to get into the swing of things.
At the finish of the paceline, LG put on an impressive sprinting display to take the win from IJ, Snap and Drop Bear. A dress rehersal for this weekend's Cunningham Classic perhaps??? Hopefully lady luck will smile on LG in the finishing straight this time.
Best of luck to LG, IJ and SpyCat who are all heading down to race the Cunningham Classic. All of the riders have put in a massive amount of training and effort this year and hopefully it will pay dividends as they start to come into the pointy end of the racing season.
