Pretty In Pink

It would seem that Santa has come to visit SpyCat a little early this year with this very PINK kit to match her pink P1 Madone.

Very nice SpyCat and very PINK!  Just the way we like it - after all, bike riding is all about colour co-ordination and coffee shops!  Isn't it???

The Tour of Bright

Apologies for the delay in getting the results and photos up on the blog for the Tour of Bright.  Most people in M1 land would know by now that both SpyCat and LG finished the 2012 road season with awesome rides at the Tour.

It was a clean sweep in C grade women for SpyCat, with victory in the two road races and time trial.  SpyCat will return to M1 land in the new year with an awesome looking trophy and a jersey or two too match!

In masters 3/4, LG had a tough field of 69 string bean hill climbers to race against.  LG proved to be Mr Consistency finishing 16th overall after the three tough stages.  LG walks away from the Tour with some of the best looking calves I've seen!

Both riders have secured starting positions in the 2013 Tour - an event that is selling out within minutes of registrations opening.

The Batman Ride

Well, well, well, it looks like this Saturday's ride is going to be one of Good v Evil with Batman (Zulu) and Robin (Blogmistress) teaming up on the tandem to take on the M1 City nasties aka single bikes...

From what I've heard, all the usual M1 City crooks will be riding:
- The Joker (Hef), does he really need any introduction??
- The Riddler (Mr Anderson), sorry Ando - but you do actually look and behave like the Riddler.
- Bain (LG), the pure grunt of the single bike pack.
- Catwoman (um, SpyCat of course), no explanation needed!
- The Penguin (The Pied Piper), there are some definite physical similarities here.....
- Mr Freeze (Snapper), beware of the frosty glaze of Mr Freeze.
- Poison Ivy (Skeeta), hmmm, gotta watch this one, she's fiesty.

Will Good overcome Evil on Saturday morning??? Will the tandem completely SMASH the single bikes??? Me thinks so!

The Post Halloween Ride

Ok, so Halloween may have been a few weeks ago..... but yesterday the Tantrum Throwers were at it again... smashing Pumpkins (aka single bikes) on the Saturday Smashfest.  Some Pumpkins were that smashed on Sunday morning that they A)  Drove to the ride (Mr Anderson), B) Didn't even turn up for the ride (The Pied Piper), C) Didn't do Mt Bindello (everyone that did turn up!) or D) Turned up Phillip St and took a short cut to the coffee shop (SpyCat).

Yes, Mr Anderson, I WILL pay for it when I get back onto my single bike - but I tell you what, I'm having the time of my life seeing you boys suffer!

Unfortunately, we didn't manage to average 38k/hr for the ride.... but at 33.5k/hr, I think the proof was in the pudding by the time we got to the Bakery.

The SpyCat

The Silver Medal

Now we all know who this bike belongs too.... SpyCat of course, but what's that around the seat mast????  Why it's a SILVER MEDAL from today's State Road Titles that are being held in south east Queensland!!!!!  In a women's field of about 20 riders, SpyCat came home in 4th place overall, 2nd in her category!

All year SpyCat has trained like a rider possessed, riding in the rain and the wind, the freezing cold, up and down Haddock drive that many times I can't even count that high!  Smashed herself on a Tuesday paceline and sprinted against the boys without fear.  It's fantastic to see that SpyCat has reaped the rewards of her hard work and dedication.

Congratulations SpyCat, you truly deserve that Silver Medal!  Bring on the Nationals! 

The Yawning Ride

Whilst the boys were busily yawning at the start of the ride this morning, the girls took advantage and totally owned the road!
